PLOY
PLOY is the latest musical project of the exceptional drummer Max Plattner. With his debut album of the same name (Session Work Records), he uncompromisingly brings musical freedom to the fore and emphasizes artistic creativity through “clean” production. The result is an energetic yet introspective sound that dynamically blends jazz, electronic, hip-hop and new music.
The boldness of this production reflects Plattner’s willingness to take risks and his inventiveness in improvisation. His talent for opening up and playing in improvisational spaces leads to innovative experiments and unexpected sounds on stage.
With Anja Obermayer (vocals), Andi Tausch (guitar), Sebastian Schneider (synth & keys) and Victoria Kirilova (bass), Max Plattner presents a group of musicians who tirelessly pursue their individual musical visions and confront conventions with radical authenticity. FUDGE SUMMER
The Viennese duo Fudge Summer calls their music “Sample Free Jazz”: an improvised performance that blends hip-hop, R&B, techno, and avant-garde, in which songs, forms, and soundscapes emerge in real time. Drawing on the sonic ideals of popular music, the group develops its music in the moment. The material remains constantly malleable: harmonies are invented, song structures shift, and auditory worlds continually take on new forms.
Fudge Summer operates within familiar pop aesthetics. It is precisely this familiarity that opens up a shared space of experience where expectations are confirmed, shattered, and reassembled.
The duo, consisting of Sara Filipova and Max Plattner, views their live performance not as a presentation of finished music, but as a collaborative process in which the immediacy of improvised music meets the directness and accessibility of club culture.
In this process, the audience becomes not merely an observer but an essential part of the concert. From the interaction between musicians, listeners, and the space itself, musical moments emerge that defy repetition.
To further this concept, Fudge Summer regularly invites artists from the respective region to help shape individual concerts. In this way, each performance is enhanced by new perspectives and continues to develop through interaction with the local scene.

ANIMALI NOTTURNI
Animali Notturni is the new Austro-Italian project of double bassist Marco Stagni. It evokes the spirits of the night, nests in the darkest folds of human nature and oscillates between instinct and ratio, between excess and minimalism.

This is probably what it would have sounded like if you had been sitting in some dingy New York jazz club many years ago. MAX PLATTNER TRIO
Max Plattner Trio has emerged as a distinctive voice in contemporary jazz, uniting sophisticated composition with raw energy. Formed in 2018 by Max Plattner (drums), Lorenzo Sighel (saxophone/rap), and Marco Stagni (double bass & electric bass), the group quickly developed its own sound.
Their first releases, the “Beta EP” (2018) and “Beats & Ballads” (2019), led to tours in Austria, Germany, and Italy. In 2020 they released their acclaimed debut album “II”, awarded TonArt Tirol’s Album of the Year in 2021.
Concert highlights include Porgy & Bess (Vienna), Jazzit (Salzburg), the Südtirol Jazzfestival Alto Adige, and a 2022 Turkey tour with a performance at the Bozcaada Caz Festival, followed by an appearance at London’s Vortex Jazz Club.
Since 2023, the trio has performed in variable line-ups with collaborators such as Fabian Rucker, Tobias Vedovelli, Marco Stagni, and Robert Schröck. While the personnel changes, the band’s core idea—bold compositions, improvisation, and openness beyond genre—remains unchanged.
